New subsidiary ViscoTec Asia in Singapore

The company ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH is now represented with a subsidiary in Singapore. With the establishment of ViscoTec Asia Pte.Ltd. the German engineering company serves now the entire ASEAN region.

The high demand for “Made in Germany” products made ??by ViscoTec in this region was a key reason for the Bavarian manufacturer of pumps and dosing technology to establish a branch in the area. “As a local contact person to maintain the proximity to customers and expand the range of services as well as the rapid availability of spare parts was a major concern to us, “said George Senftl, managing director of ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH.

Mr. Wolfgang Merklein, who will head the newly established subsidiary has specialized for years in this area and there has been a lot of contacts socialized during his professional activity at ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH. With his extensive expertise he can be at our customers disposal on site.
The Singapore office is the second overseas representative of the ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH. In November 2009 ViscoTec America, the office in Kennesaw, Georgia, was founded which has positioned itself on the American market very well.

Thousandth eco-PEN goes to South Korea

Two years after the launch of preeflow ® ViscoTec sold the thousandth eco-PEN to South Korea. The sale of preeflow ® products is increasing, in particular in Asian countries. Especially in South Korea ViscoTec expecting strong growth because of the booming electronics industry in recent years.

The preeflow ® product group is a Plug & Play dosing system. It is the smallest system on the market that works on the ViscoTec endless piston principle. Volumetric dosing and exceptionally easy to use and maintenance is characterized by this system.

The jewel in the Korean market is the eco-PEN 600. This finds its application in the smartphone production. These mobile phones that provide more computer functionality and connectivity as a conventional, advanced mobile phone are individually upgradeable with additional applications.
The trend toward smartphones is increased dramatically in recent years, and Korean manufacturers are the leaders in this industry.

For preeflow ® development and establishment of the Asian countries over the last two years was a great success. To celebrate this event of 1000 exported eco-pens, ViscoTec donated their employees a traditional white saussage breakfast with pretzels and wheat beer to thank them for their outstanding productivity in the preeflow ® business unit.

Paste dispensing or dosing in photovoltaic PV – is it worth to use an automatic dosing equipment ?

During photovoltaic cell production, screen printers apply different types of paste, either silver Ag or aluminum Al or aluminum-silver AlAg. These pastes need to be dosed or dispensed in a proper way into the screen printing machines. Many times this is done by hand. Beside this there are good dosing systems for the paste, such as from ViscoTec. But is it worth using a full-automatic dosing equipment? Using dispensing equipment for the paste saves labor cost. But this is not the big deal.

Consider a 4 Euro cell, where only 20% of the cost is the paste. Lets suggest with the dosing equipment you save 0,5% of paste and reduce the failure rate by 0,2% (the paste is much more homogeneous with a ViscoTec dispenser type ViscoTreat).

A line with 1200 cell per hour, running 700 hour per month, has an output of 840.000 cells per month. So the monthly savings of paste is about 3.360 Euro. Further, you can sell for 6.720 Euro more cells because of the better quality. Your total savings can be 10.000 Euro/ month. I am wondering if you agree with my figures? pumping technology as garden decoration

The fact that rotors cannot only pump but also usable as decorative objects shows this photo. For this candleholder I used a sorted out(!) two-stage rotor with size 40, which already got dusty of some years being in the basment, and I led made a suitable high-grade steel baseplate. Here we go! It was rather difficult to find the suitable candles - (nearly) all, which I could buy, had a too large or small diameter and don`t fit into the socket, in which normally the coupling rod sits. Unfortunately I do not recommend for imitation due to the fact of the today’s high-grade steel prices however.

Successful company anniversary

Three weeks ago our large firm anniversary took place: Resch Maschinenbau GmbH, ViscoTec GmbH and Power Heat Set GmbH celebrated on 16 June round birthdays (50,10,5)together. The celebration began at 15 o’clock with a factory tour of all three buildings with organized guidance. Not only for the members, friends and acquaintance this inspection was interesting, also for the employees themselves could look behind the scenes of the other companies. Then afterwards we celebrated in the tent with approx. 700 guests with a delicious meal and live music.

As announced some time ago in June we will celebrate our 10-year firm anniversary. Now the time has come and we will have a large celebration of all three birthdays on coming Saturday: Resch Maschinenbau GmbH (our mother company) celebrates 50 years, power Heat Set GmbH (our affiliated firm) 5 years and we, ViscoTec celebrates 10 years. We will organize a large fixed tent on our firm area. With a small program (factory tour of all buildings, music, group photo, Buffet) we will celebrate our birthdays with approximately 700 employees and their families and friends.

Bike tour

After nearly three-year break this year again once a motorcycle rally of ViscoTec coworkers took place. Punctually to the departure time last Friday afternoon eight inspired drivers met at the ViscoTec parking lot. Our colleague Hermann Aigner selected a beautiful route in Lower Bavaria (Niederbayern). The travel went over Geratskirchen, Rimbach and Malgersdorf to Mamming. The relatively small country road required driving skills from Martin Stadler and its Electra Glide, while Rene could not use directly its 172 PS strong Suzuki. In Mamming (Landau a.d. Isar) at pleasant temperatures in the beer garden weh ad a snack and we laughed much. After our stabilization our route on other way led back through Neumarkt St. Veit. At the following driver conclusion discussion were all participants united that this was not the last trip with the Bikes. We try that we can organize a similar route in September again.

Quitting time barbecue

Social gathering besides hard work is necessary. It is great that a barbecue evening was organized: Coworkers provided food and recreating beer. Thus we spent a beautiful barbecue evening yesterday, where we laughed and ate much. I wouldn`t say it we drunk much…a barrel beer for all unfortunately was too few… but perhaps it was good like that…. There were also no chops or Bavarian sausages, but house-made Thüringer Bratwürste, which our field representative brought from its hometown along. Such a benefit comes not all days. It tasted very much!
